This page explains which personal data is processed when you visit belambo.com, contact us or work with us, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The German version says the same in more detail; if they differ, the German version applies.

Belambo is a one-person business. No data protection officer is required.
2. Hosting and server log files
This website and our email are hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, which processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. When you open a page, the server records technical data in log files: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the website you came from (referrer), and browser and operating system. The log files are kept only as long as needed for security and operation, then deleted or anonymised. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, working website).
3. Clients and business partners
When we prepare an offer for you or work for you, we process your name, address, company, contact details, contract and project data, invoices and payment data, and our communication with you. We use this data to deliver the work, invoice it and keep records required by law (for example 8 years for invoices and 10 years for books, under German tax and commercial law). Where needed, we pass data to tax advisers, banks or IT providers. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for orderly business records and defending legal claims.
4. Contact form, email, phone and WhatsApp
If you use the contact form, we process what you enter (name, email address and, if given, phone number and message) to answer you. The form is built with the WordPress plugin WPForms on our own server; entries are sent to us by email through the IONOS mail server and are not stored in a separate database on the website. WPForms also counts how often the form is shown and used (numbers only). The same applies when you email or call us.
Our pages link to WhatsApp. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp until you click the link. If you write to us on WhatsApp, we process your phone number, profile name and messages to answer you. WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland, also processes data under its own terms; message content is end-to-end encrypted, and a transfer to Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA (certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) cannot be ruled out. You can always reach us by email or phone instead.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request is about a contract or an offer, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data when your request is settled, unless legal retention periods apply.
5. Newsletter
If you tick the box for our email list in the contact form, we use your email address (and name, if given) to send you news about Belambo, our services and offers. We confirm your sign-up by email before sending anything. We currently use no newsletter service; if we start using one, we will name it here. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email or by writing to info@belambo.de. After you unsubscribe, we may keep your address for up to three years only to prove your earlier consent. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
6. Spam protection
To keep automated spam out of the contact form, the form is checked on our own server: whether it was filled in suspiciously fast, whether a field that people cannot see was filled in, and whether the message contains several links. No data is sent to third parties for this and no cookies are set. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our interest in protecting the form against abuse).
7. Fonts and icons
All fonts and icons on this website (including Pathway Gothic One from Google Fonts and the Font Awesome icons) are served from our own server. No connection to Google or other font providers is made, and no data is sent to them.
8. Counting of contact requests
We count how often visitors click on our phone number, email address or WhatsApp link and how often the contact form is sent, so we know whether the website brings inquiries. For each event we store only the time, the type of event, the page and, for clicks, the name of the website you came from (for example www.google.com). We use no cookies for this, store nothing on your device and store no IP address or device data, so you cannot be identified. Visits by logged-in editors are not counted. The entries are deleted after 25 months. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our interest in knowing which parts of the website work).
9. Cookies
This website does not use cookies for analytics, tracking or advertising. When you close the cookie notice, a cookie named cookie_notice_accepted stores your choice for 30 days, so the notice is not shown again. It contains no identifier. This is technically necessary (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). WordPress sets further cookies only for logged-in editors.
10. LinkedIn
We have a company page on LinkedIn. Our website only links to it; nothing is sent to LinkedIn until you click. On LinkedIn, we are jointly responsible with LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Dublin 2, Ireland, for collecting visitor data used for the page statistics (“Page Insights”), under the Page Insights Joint Controller Addendum. LinkedIn alone is responsible for any further processing, including transfers to LinkedIn Corporation in the USA. You can exercise your rights directly with LinkedIn; see the LinkedIn privacy policy. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
11. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR)
- have your data deleted (Art. 17 GDPR)
- have processing restricted (Art. 18 GDPR)
- receive your data in a common machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR)
- object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for reasons arising from your particular situation, and object at any time to processing for direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- withdraw a consent you gave at any time, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
