As artificial intelligence becomes more abundant, I wonder if real intelligence will become more valuable.
Everything that has “artificial” in it, is basically an Artificial thing. It means something is mimicking a real thing. Artificial gold is wannabe OG gold. Artificial plants are wannabe real plants. Artificial leather is not real leather. Artificial lens are not real eyes.
Artificial intelligence is not real intelligence!
Just like a white bulb inside a dark room cannot be replacement for the moon outside, AI cannot be intelligent in the same way humans are.
What is Artificial?
Artificial things are man-made objects, items, or artistic works created by human skill rather than occurring naturally.
My brain processing information is natural, a computer processing data is artificial.
The real question is: Can an artificial thing ever be more valuable than its real counterpart?
We are all afraid of losing our jobs to AI. We are feeling a bit less worthy after the rapid advancements in AI. But are we actually decreasing in value because AI is increasing in value?
Deception is wicked
We love gold, but do we love artificial gold?
YES and NO!
We love artificial gold as long as we don’t know it’s artificial. The moment we realize it is not real, we tend to back off. We use artificial things for deception yes DECEPTION!
Another word closely related to artificial is deception.
A Moment in my Life, that Changed Everything!
I used to sit next to a money plant in my office. It was a beautiful plant, always green and fresh. I always wanted to look at it. My eyes somehow felt lighter just by looking at it.
Until one day, I accidentally touched it.
My heart skipped a beat. I felt heartbroken and deceived at the same time. I never wanted to believe what I had just discovered after sitting next to it for years. All the feelings I had for that plant were gone in a second.
After that day, I became a different person. Now, I may not believe my eyes anymore. A fake plant. Fooking fake plant, made me feel like an idiot. You know what?
I love that fake plant. Because it made me love the real plants. Now I notice every plant and check whether it is real or not. I think real intelligence is going to become even more valuable because fewer and fewer people will have it.
A bright light is far more useful on a dark night than during a bright day. In the same way, real intelligence will be more in demand because soon it will be short on supply.
Maybe that is the strange thing about artificial intelligence.
The more artificial intelligence we create, the more rare / valuable real intelligence might become.

P.S: I asked Chatgpt about my essay, I think chati did not like it. It had a different idea about it.
I think your essay could become **much more interesting**.
Instead of arguing:
> “AI isn't intelligent because it's artificial.”
You could be asking:
> **“If artificial intelligence becomes indistinguishable from intelligence, what exactly makes human intelligence valuable?”**
